[ top ] - Why am I getting disconnected from Embanet(FirstClass)?
- FirstClass works a little different from other email programs like MS Outlook. With Outlook (and other email programs), you send a request to your ISP's mailserver to ask if there are any messages. If there are, you download your messages. Hotmail works in the same way that you have to refresh your web-browser for the system to check for mail.
FirstClass is always connected to our sever and it requires a solid internet connection all of the time. If for some reason your connection becomes slow or times out, the system will become slow to respond or log you off.
If you are using a wireless router, you may need to reset your wireless router and your cable/dsl modem. To reset the devices, unplug the modem and the router for approximately 15 seconds and then plug them back in. If you continue experiencing difficulties with the wireless connection, please contact the router vendor for technical support.

- My messages are removed after 30 days. How do I save them for longer?
- The firstclass system has a 30 day expiration period for messages in your mailbox. If you would like to keep the messages longer than that period, you can save the message to your computer by opening the message and selecting File and then save as. After the name make sure it has .txt and then click save.
[ top ] - I deleted a message from my mailbox. Is there a way to recover it?
- Every morning at 5 am EST, we permanently remove messages from the system. Before that time you can click View and show deleted message to display the deleted items.
To recover a deleted message, right-click on a message and select Undelete.
