			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>UPPER SADDLE RIVER, NJ (March 20, 2013) - </strong>With more than 6.7 million students taking at least one course online, according to the 2012 Survey of Online Learning conducted by Babson Survey Research Group, higher education<strong> </strong>institutions are stepping up their efforts to meet the growing demand for online programs. Pearson Embanet (formerly EmbanetCompass) and NJIT announced today an expanded partnership to launch three online master’s degree programs in the fall of 2013 as part a plan to offer 10 or more online graduate programs across each graduate school and college at NJIT. Pearson Embanet will deliver integrated services in the areas of marketing, enrollment, student support, course development, and technical helpdesk, all designed to keep students engaged and ensure program completion.</p>
<p>Part of the portfolio of new programs launched will be in the high-demand fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and will position students for career opportunities in the region  and beyond. Building on the success of an existing online Master of Science in Civil Engineering, the next group of programs will include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Master of Science in Electrical Engineering</li>
<li>Master of Business Administration focused on the management of technology</li>
<li>Master of Science in Computer Science</li>
<li>Additional programs will be added in the subsequent semesters thereafter</li>
</ul>
